“they are difficult and time-consuming to mount, require significant effort to cover up, and are public relations nightmares if you get caught”

Amen. Anyone who has worked in any large company or ‘matrix organisation’ (bleh) would understand how insanely tough it would be to run a successful global hoodwink and not be rumbled. Bureaucracy, risk aversion, incompetence. False flags are definitely compelling though, and I reckon Hitler 100% did the Reichstag fire.

P.s. Sorry to Godwin’s law you by bringing up Nazis, but you did it first.

I think the thing about the Reichstag fire is that, to switch fires for a moment, you don’t ask which specific spark started a forest fire, you are more concerned about fuel load, high temps, no rain, high winds, etc. Such were the conditions of 1933 that pretty much any event would have been used by the Nazis to suspend civil liberties. Once the Germans had allowed Hitler to become Chancellor, they were in grave peril.

But, yes, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Nazis had false-flagged this baby. They did fair bit of documented false-flagging. And so do their pathetic descendants today.
